That church stood in the center of downtown Buffalo, on Lafayette Square, on the present site of the Lafayette Hotel. The congregation, organized by Bishop Timon in 1850 for the French of the city, without regard to neighborhood, moved out to Main and Best and changed the name to Our Lady of Lourdes. That church closed some years ago, but the registers were there when I abstracted them. Any microfilm would be filed under "Our Lady of Lourdes." \par \par Jean Baptist Franklemon, son of Jean Bapt. Franklemon & Marie Vagenman \par and \par Philomena Voilan, daughter of Jean Bapt. Voilan & Adelaide Perin \par witnesses were: Jean Valon and Ferdinand Joseph Franklemon \par \par The priest who performed the marriage was Father LeBreton. \par \par She is listed in the 1860 Census Buffalo Ward 4, Erie County, New York, Enumerated July 9, Page 76, Dwelling 458, Family 630, Line 25. Indexed under Viland. She is a servant for the Guilford R. Wilson family. \par \par Listed in the 1920 US Census for Manawa, Waupaca Co., WI as living in the household of her daughter Julia Carew. \par \par The 1910 census lists her as having had 7 children with 5 still alive in 1910. This could account for Albert not being found but leaves one other unnamed.}
